Bien que très loin de partager ses idées, il faut rendre justice à Ferrat. C'était un homme éminement sincère. Nous perdons avec lui un authentique poète; un immense promoteur de la culture française. Le dernier des grands qui aura rejoint Brassens, Brel, Ferré, Trenet, Bécaud... La Montagne, bien sûr, mais aussi Nuit et Brouillard, Nous dormirons ensemble, Ma France. Il aura eu l'immense sagesse de se retirer et de se faire rare pour mieux être regretté. Salut l'artiste!
